Common questions
- How much does HyrHelp cost?
- Posting a job and quoting for work are both free. A service fee is added for the client and a commission comes off the pro — both only on completed work, and both shown in full before anyone agrees to anything. See the worked example.
- Are pros vetted?
- Each badge on a profile names the specific check behind it, and a profile with no checks says so plainly. Uploading a document does not make anyone verified, and we do not run background checks.
- The job turned out bigger than the quote. What now?
- Nothing can be added to your bill without a change order you approve. The pro proposes it with the old price, the new price and the reason, and it does not take effect until you accept.
- Why can't I book a plumber or an electrician?
- Licensing rules differ by state and we only open a regulated category once we have checked the rules where you are. Where we have not, bookings stay off rather than us guessing.
- Do you employ the pros?
- No. Pros are independent. They set their own prices, choose their own hours and decide how to carry out a job. HyrHelp connects the two sides and handles payment.
