Why we built this

The old way charges for introductions. We charge for finished work.

Most “find a pro” sites are lead-generation businesses. A pro pays for your details whether or not they win the job — and the same lead gets sold to four of their competitors. Everything people hate about hiring a tradesperson online comes from that one decision.

Badges name the actual check

An identity check is not a licence check, and neither is a background check. Uploading a document doesn't make anyone verified.

A new pro is shown as new

We don't invent a rating for someone with no reviews, and we don't give them a flattering default.

We don't employ anyone

Pros are independent. They set their prices and decide how to do the work. HyrHelp connects and handles the money.

Some trades stay closed

Licensing differs by state. Where we haven't checked the rules, bookings in regulated categories stay off rather than guessing.

We refuse to price some jobs

If your answers fall outside what a standard price covers, we say so and send you to quotes.
